Rinse the stainless steel wire mesh screen with water, using a gentle stream, and avoid spraying the emulsion off with high pressure, until the unexposed areas have washed away, leaving a clean image on the screen. While your screen is drying, it’s time to prepare your printing surface. Depending on the surface you are printing on, you may need to pre-treat it with a coating or primer. This will help the ink adhere to the surface better and prevent smudging.

 

Step 7: Print your design

Now it’s time to print your design onto the surface. Begin by placing the printing surface onto a flat surface and securing it in place with tape or clamps. Then, place the screen onto the surface, ensuring that it is centered correctly. Using a squeegee, apply ink onto the screen and pull it across the screen, applying firm and even pressure. The ink will pass through the open areas of the stencil and onto the printing surface. Lift the screen off the surface, and your print should be complete!
